Lindey's Restaurant, located in the German Village section of downtown Columbus, describes itself as a “high-energy, white tablecloth” establishment that serves only the “finest of American cuisine”. With a spirited atmosphere and fare that is crisp, clean and simple, you're sure to agree.

Lindey's pulls off a hard-to-balance ratio of ambiance that exudes class and relaxation paired with fine cuisine that is uncomplicated and never stuffy. The restaurant features a bistro-like setting and is a favorite lunch-spot for local businesspeople and the first place locals consider for everything from casual suppers with family to intimate dinners that are sure to impress your date.

The menu at Lindey's is an amalgamation of American classics like mashed potatoes, hearty soups and robust meats. For starters, try Lindey's famous jumbo-lump crab cake with sauteed spinach and Creole mustard sauce or the Prince Edward Island mussels with sauteed pancetta; shallots; sage; cream and sherry ($11 each).

Be sure to try a bowl of Lindey's famous lobster bisque soup, which features shrimp and extra-virgin olive oil as well ($6.50).

Dinner menu favorites include items such as honey-glazed duck — brushed in orange-blossom honey and served with red cabbage confit, Fiji apples and polenta ($21); linguine with shrimp, clams and applewood smoked bacon, thyme and tomato ($17); Block Island swordfish served with maple and garlic sweet potato gratin ($24); chargrilled lemon rosemary chicken breast with vegetable lasagna and labneh ($17); and Lindey's classic tournedoes of beef two 4 oz. petite filets with toasted brioche, Bearnaise sauce and garlic whipped potatoes ($28).

In addition to your meal, Lindey's offers half-a-dozen sides that make excellent accompaniments. Try the sweet potato gratin or Parmesan risotto ($6 each).

The restaurant also offers a variety of gourmet burgers, flat breads and salads.

Dress at Lindey's is business casual and reservations are especially helpful on busy weekends. The restaurant offers private party rooms for groups of 10 – 100, and can be reserved by calling (614) 228-4343. Carryout is also available during business hours on all menu items.
