Internet Quotes are a Lie
Reviewed by jchiappisi on 2010-02-03T10:39:23Z

I received an email from Lindsay Honda giving me a very good quote when compared against other Honda dealers in the area. At the bottom of the email, it states that quotes are good for (7) days. Upon calling them to get a price check, the gentleman I talked to had to talk to his manager JUST to get me a price first off. Then he called me back with a price over $1,000 higher than the Internet Quote. When I mentioned we had an internet quote, he stammered and said that the internet side was a whole different department, etc. And said he'd have to talk with his manager and get more information. He called us back the next day, again not willing to state a price, but offered to email it to us. We waited 4 hours and then called back, to be offered $700 less than the original offer. When I asked about the quote being good for (7) days and that disclaimer being in the email, I was referred to his manager who rudely told me tough luck. That price was for last month's specials and that they couldn't do anything for us. This experience has made us decide not only to not go with Lindsay Honda (who we also got a used Honda from years before and got a lemon), but has turned us off from buying a car at all. Who wants to go through such an ordeal to give someone $15k+?

Pros: NONE!

Cons: Slimey, Lying, Long Response Times, Typical Car Salesman

Easiest Time Buying A Car

This dealership is amazing. We obtained a quote on the Internet, went to the business, took a test drive and bought the car! Our salesman was so knowledgeable and friendly (not pushy). We were offered sodas, and it was just a great experience.

I worked with a great sales person when I went in to buy my new Civic. He was very knowledgeable and he wasn't pushy at all. The show room is nice and they had an area with drinks, etc. for while you are waiting which is nice. They didn't have a HUGE selection of cars with the options that I wanted, but I found one I liked anyway. They were willing to make a good deal with my trade-in and even installed a spoiler on my new car free of charge.
