Whether you’re a tourist or a native, you’ll find something new and delicious as you stroll the streets of Columbus with Columbus Food Adventures.
Bethia Woolf, Columbus’ premier foodie and food blogger, leads tours like none you’ve encountered. Over three-and-a-half hours, you’ll explore the under-appreciated restaurants in the Short North, the wide variety of Columbus’ ethnic eateries or the aromatic and flavorful offerings of the city’s taco trucks. Woolf will prove that she knows Columbus’ food scene like no one else! You’ll also learn more about the history, culture and architecture of the city at large. You’ll glean some culinary insights into some of Columbus’ landmark restaurants and some of the newer establishments.
Woolf offers three types of tours: a walking tour of the Short North and bus tours of Columbus’ ethnic eateries and of the taco trucks.
During your tour of the Short North, you’ll start by exploring the city’s only public market, North Market. You’ll then make six additional stops on the 1.5-mile walking tour, ingesting both food and great culinary tales. The final stop brings a sweet end to the tour: Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams.
On the Alt Eats tour, you’ll first head to a Middle Eastern bakery before eating a Vietnamese sandwich, enjoying Somali and Persian delicacies, and end by satisfying your sweet tooth at a Mexican bakery. For both the taco truck and Alt Eats tour, you’ll travel in style in a 14-passenger van.
On the Taco Truck tour, you’ll investigate the taco trucks of Columbus’ West Side, discovering some of the best Mexican food in the city. You’ll sample food and drink from five different taco trucks and learn that they sell a lot more than tacos!
You can buy your tickets online. You must buy your tickets at least two hours before the start of the tour.
HelloMetro Tip: Woolf also books private tours.
