Columbus Arts & Tech Academy Reviews

My daughter attends CATA and I do not belive that the school is challenging my daughter. I like that the school is small and there's more one on one with the students but I don't think she will attend the school next year, even though she made honor roll I feel that she can learn more with more experience teachers.

I had a very poor experience at this school for the 2 years my son attended. He came from a school that was in academic emergency, he did not make any progress at all while attending CATA. He is still in a 3rd grade math and reading level. I have been forced to pay for expensive tutoring to help him make up for what he did not get at CATA. He was better off at his previous school. I would not recommend this school to anyone!

My daughter is a kindergarten at CATA and it has been a wonderful experience. She is reading, writing math equations, learning about other cultures, science and a lot more than I learned in kindergarten. The teachers are wonderful and they care about your children's education. If I have any concerns about my child, I write an email to her teacher and within a few hours I have a response. I don't have to wait till after work, before I can talk with her teacher. Security is great also. I am really proud to be a parent of a CATA child.

The curriculum is demanding. Equal to a parochial school education without the tuition. The school is a true community and Test scores continue to rise each year.

I agree 100%- the school is terrible. Just go to an assembly and the children watching are so undisciplined that you can't even hear the children who worked so hard to put on a good performance. Children get good grades but don t test well on state wide testing. I took my daughter out and would not recommend this school to anyone.

This school gives charter schools a terrible name. Very unorganized, kids out of control, high staff turn-over rate. I would not recommend anyone to send their kids here.

I think CATA is a very good academic school. The teachers are positive and they care about the students. I think they are on the right track being a fairly new school.
