Grove City Christian School Reviews

Every cent I spend living on less to provide my child's education at GCCS have been worth it. The teachers send out weekly updates and all papers in 'Friday folders' in elementary school. My child is challenged beyond what her respective public school currently expects. Best of all, the staff is supportive, listens, helps, and prays over each child like they were the number one priority. Admiministration -great! Only complaint- The Music programs are quite weak. :( Elementary music is almost all rote learning and doesn't come close nor try for the quality of the local schools in this area. I appreciate the Bible knowledge my child receives. My child and her friends are building Biblical character -respect, moderation, self control...these are lost in public school today.

I attended this school for middle and high school, and now that I have a child of my own, I can't wait for her to be able to attend. I know she'll receive an excellent education here, and she'll be more than prepared for college when she graduates.

As a grand parent of two stuents attending GCCS, I have the highest regards for the leadership of the school and for the teachers who teach the children not only the subjects matter requried by the state but also teach them in such a matter that God and the Bible is brought out directly and indirectly on all that they do

Grove City Christain School is like a large family all living under the same roof. We have our ups and downs but in the end we all love each other. GCCS is my home.

While I do not believe that it is possible for a school to be perfect, GCCS is very close. It currently has a fairly new Administrative Staff that is growing each day. While I feel that it is very good right now, I believe that it will only get better in time. GCCS has made a commitment to grow its sports and music departments as well. This is evident with the recent addition of a football team and a financial commitment to build a new stadium. The most gratifying aspect of GCCS is how secure I am with the high level of learning they receive from the quality staff.

GCCS provides a quality education and has quality students. My child was not being challenged at her public school and is now with a group that keeps her striving. The kids are very kind and almost all are on honor roll. They are currently expanding the sports programs and have extremly involved parents(sometimes too involved!)overall a very good school.

My daughter loved going to GCCS. The teachers were very hands on and she felt very connected. I would highly reccommend Grove City Christian to any parent who is considering enrolling their child.

This school is very student oriented and the teachers are all very caring.

I love this school! I have 2 daughters who are now in 4th and 6th grade. The staff is excellent! They really are very caring for your children. Parental involvement is high which gives the teacher more time to focus on teaching. I am happy with this school!

This is our son's first year at GCCS and it has been terrific. He attended Maranatha Christian until it closed and we were apprehensive about starting a new school. But our apprehension was groundless and we praise the Lord for allowing our son to attend this wonderful school. The academics are challenging, the student body welcoming to new students and the staff caring and dedicated. No school will ever be perfect, nor will its staff or students, but GCCS is tops in our opinion.

My child has attend K-2nd so far.My sisters kids K-6. The school expects great things from their students, look at the senior scholarships all academic, soon to be sports with the addition of the new sports complex. Bad behavior, disrespect and interruptions are not tolerated and kids actually behave. Teachers are caring, respectful and have an interest in each student. They are not just a number to pass the test. As for the mentioning of Sports and the real world. The real world is what is taught at home too. My son plays sports and does other activites outside of school and we live in the real world. The school does not show any favoritism toward church members etc. I am not a church memeber and feel my child is getting the best education. Anywhere, your going to find an obnoxious parent at a sporting event. Christian or Not.

This is my 8th year with a child at this school. Academically--great at elementary level! Discipline is great. Children are well behaved. Extracurricular is not as good as a public school. Unfortunately, they do not practice what they preach. 'Don't tell me you're a Chrisitan--Show me your a Chritian.' Favoritism is played in the classroom and sports, especially among church members of the school. Some school fans at sporting events appear to not represent a Chrisitan school. Heckling of officials is common practice. Teachings are not tolerate of other religions; however, a great teaching of Bible is done here. Parent involvement is expected--many Mom's are stay at home Mom's, so a working Mom is a minority. Concerned about 'real world' preparedness if attend all 12 years at GCCS. School does not seem to encourage activity outside of the church.

I went to this school from 1995 through 1999, I don't know how much it has changed but when I went it wasn't that great. When I went they were very judgmental. I do think that most of the teachers played favorites a lot more than usual, but some of the teachers were good. My older sister, many of her friends that use to attend the school, and my mom also agree with what is said above. But do not take only our opinion into thought when thinking about this school, because once again it was a couple of years ago when the school was still new and it could have changed.

My two elementary school-aged children previously attended GCCS through October, 2003 at which time our famiily relocated. The teachers were wonderful and caring. Our children are attending a different christian school in our new city, and the difference is noticeable. They are learning and being fed the word of God, but the students are no where near as mature or well mannered as they are at GCCS. If you are looking for a school that does more then just teach the curriculum, take a walk down the halls of the school during a school day. You will experience respect from the students, well-mannered lines walking quietly down the halls as well as smiling and loving teachers who are willing to take a generous pay cut in relation to public schools to teach at GCCS. Thank you to the whole staff for loving and teaching our children for four wonderful years.

This is my first year sending my child to GCCS, and it has been a total joy! The teachers are great, my child has excelled here and I am so happy she was accepted last year. I have no negitive comments.

They have a great athletics program and their teachers really genuinely care about the students.
