Central College Elementary School Reviews

Central College is an amazing small school. Everyone knows who my child is and wants her to succeed. The teachers are very good at working with each child at their own level. The classes are small and the parents are very involved.

Central College is a small school with a spectacular learning environment. Children excel and are able to reach their full potentials.

This is one of those rare schools that does almost everything right. The principals, teachers, school secretary, and custodian are all very committed to the students. They all have a genuine desire not only to see the students succeed academically, as is expected, but also to see them happy and enthusiastic about school and learning, which is a much more challenging goal. The teachers use very creative cross-grade learning opportunities and give older students the opportunity to mentor younger students to the benefit of all. Outside fieldtrips offer valid learning experiences and increase student excitement about learning. Parental involvement is high, and the school PTA is active in providing funds for supplemental learning experiences. Extracurricular opportunities are good considering the school's small size and academic focus. It will be a challenge for the district to continue to provide this high a standard for the middle school experience of these students.
