Wyandot's test scores at consistently one of the highest in the city, if not the state for that matter. PTO is very involved in school and are there to support the teachers and staff in many ways. The only thing we have not been too happy with is the discipline issue. It seems very lax and i don't feel issues are handled well. My son has had some special needs and the special education teacher was excellent. Also Wyandot does not tolerate any bullying which made his transition from another school to Wyandot very easy. He was treated with respect and care. The academics were very good, but the Investigation Math Program is below average and I supplemented their Math program with my own home math program which provided then with the basic facts in math which the Dublin School System does not see as necessary. Parent involvement is excellent, and they have many extracurricular activities. The pricipal is very involved with the students, knowing them by name, and has attended many events outside the regular school functions. My only criticism is the front office staff is not very professional and the Math Program is lacking.” Posted By: parent Quality Score: 3 2005-06-20 “If I could change anything about this school it is the way bad behavior is handled. I don't feel the parents know enough of what's going on. I know of some situations where the parents should of been notified because of some very inappropriate behavior, and were not. The teachers care about the students. As a parent I have always felt comfortable discussing my children with the teaching staff. The school is also a very clean. In a few cases there has been some issues on discipline. I feel that it is not a priority. Unfortunately on the issue of discipline I do not feel comfortable with the way inappropriate situations are handled. The only thing that concerns us is, the dicipline is very lax. I feel issues are not handled very well Also I have heard alot of negative comments from the parents. Our child transferred here from another school, and we were very concerned about her adjustment. The staff and faculty have been great in helping us and her adapt. We think the Principal is outstanding. Other parents are very supportive & involved, which makes for a great elementary school community. The parents volunteer, the teachers are wonderful, and the principal is very kind. It's clean, and the supplies for students are plenty and of high quality.
