Africentric has helped them grow and open a wide door of opporutunity to have some sort of success in the world. People say it continues to be the students or the teachers that is the problem when it is really both the students and teachers. This is a school for people who want to work so if a teacher or a student dose not want to work they should not go there. Furthermore the program is very good. Where else can a urban student get the opportunity to graduate with their Associate's Degree and high school diploma. Yes the school is a little harder than most because you have to maintain a 3.0 (at least a 2.5) or better in order to stay in the Early College Program. My son is a junior and he has been a the school since the 6th grade and he is doing very well in the program. They concentrate on academics as well as sports. Yes, they do go all year round (6-12th grades). I think that keeps their brain on task and they don't forget as much as they would in the summer.
